The Salvation Army, Thanksgiving Dinner

The Salvation Army of Cheyenne is getting ready for their annual Thanksgiving meal for next week and are still in need of food donations. Some of those items include boxed mashed potatoes, brown gravy, cool whip and any type of pies. The people at the Salvation Army office talked about where monetary donations go and what their hopes are for next week.

“100% of any money that comes through these doors, whether it comes through mail, whether it comes through a credit card mailbox or in this kettle, stays 100% in this community.”

“You know, I would like to see families and individuals come. And just for it to be a place of home, like, you know, we want to welcome them in set and visit with them, just like if we were inviting them into our own home.”

Anyone is welcome to go down to the Salvation Army in Cheyenne located at 601 east 20th St. to get a warm Thanksgiving meal and to enjoy the company of other members of Cheyenne. Doors will be open from 11am to 1pm on Thanksgiving Day.
