The statistics are concerning¬†according to the Kaiser Family foundation, almost 30% of adults in Wyoming suffered anxiety or depression last year.¬†Our William Langston spoke with one mental health organization to learn more about the help that’s out there.

In an effort to help those in need, a new mental heath care facility has opened. Jennifer Lindstrom, spoke to Your Wyoming Link about the clinic.

“Today, our doors are officially open for the mental health urgent care. It’s something that we’re building, and we hope that we could be here to support the community and their mental health.”

Liv health offers mental health services for Wyoming and are proud to announce the grand opening of their new urgent care facility here in Cheyenne.

“So we provide same day crisis care for any mental health crisis that may be coming in, and that can range from anxiety, depression or any other challenges or struggles people might be facing that they don’t know where to turn to in the community.”

And Sheridan Roling explains that they hope to provide additional help to those that offer mental health services like emergency rooms.

“Our hope is to provide stabilization and hopefully work with our teams across the state to reduce any additional strain on our ER staff.”

Liv health also offers statewide mental health services.

“Some of our services can be provided virtually. So for the mental health urgent care specifically, that can be provided virtually and then also in-person here in Cheyenne.”
