January 13 Hometown Hero

The Hometown Hero for January 13th is officer Brandon LaPointe with the Rock Springs Police Department.

Officer LaPointe was recently sworn in by Mayor Tim Kaumo. Officer LaPointe was previously employed by the St. George Police Department in Utah before he and his wife, Mikayla, moved to Rock Springs to be closer to Mikayla’s family. Brandon has already completed police academy training through his previous employer and should be ready to go after completing his field training with the Rock Springs Police Department.
