February 25 Hometown Hero

The Hometown Hero for February 25th is Past Chief Gene Diedtrich of the Newcastle volunteer Fire Department. He has had for 60 years of service to the Newcastle volunteer Fire Department, the city of Newcastle and the state of Wyoming. Gene has lobbied for the Wyoming fire service for many years and is an inaugural member of the Wyoming firefighters hall of fame. Governor Mark Gordon has proclaimed March 8th as fireman Gene Diedtrich day.
