February 14 Hometown Hero

The Hometown Hero for February 14th is Clayton Cogdill. Mr. Cogdill was recognized on Friday by the Casper Police department, and the Casper Fire-EMS for the assistance that he provided to a fellow citizen.

On July 3rd, he was floating down the North Platte River when he and his party heard cries for help from an individual struggling to swim. They immediately called 9-1-1. Mr. Cogdill provided assistance while fire, police, and EMS personnel responded. He then aided the emergency responders in pulling the individual from the river, and onto the shore where medical care could be preformed.
Mr. Cogdill’s courage speaks to his personal character as someone who is dedicated to helping those around him.
