Engaged On Energy

Welcome to this week’s Engaged on Energy! I’m Rick Whitbeck.

Let’s go to the mailbag this week, or at least the email responses to recent Engaged on Energy segments.

I appreciate everyone who takes the time to send me feedback – even those who have a different point of view.

For example, some of you believe I should go easier on President Biden, saying that he has very little to do with what happens with energy on an international level.

The leader of the most powerful country on Earth certainly SHOULD have tremendous input and influence with other global nations and their governments. He SHOULD be able to use the US’s strength to move other nations forward.

Except, when it comes to energy, Joe Biden has plunged himself into the same ‘go-green’ movement that has failed in country after country across much of the Western Hemisphere. Prices up 600%. Rolling blackouts. Supply shortages. All leading to life-threatening decisions because of the rush to embrace renewables without understanding the risks to financial systems, transmission grids and most importantly, the citizenry.

Look at what is happening in Europe right now. Germany is powerless to stand up to Putin because they rely on the Kremlin for their energy needs. All because they insisted on undergoing a green revolution.

The President SHOULD be able to help in those situations, but he can’t, because he doesn’t have the extra energy supplies to do so. Because of the push to ‘go green’ here in America, we’re facing problems of our own. 30 inches of snow fell last weekend in some parts of New England, and because of their insistence to bypass new natural gas pipelines, their electric grids were unable to meet the demand, and blackouts occurred, putting peoples’ lives at risk.

Joe Biden isn’t a victim. He’s the problem; or at least he and the eco-left enablers he listens to much too often are.

That’ll do it for this week’s Engaged on Energy. Drop me an email at Rick@PowerTheFuture.com with comments or suggestions for a future segment. Thanks for watching, and have a fantastic, energy-filled week, everyone.
