Cheyenne’s September Temps 2nd Highest On Record

As we start the first full week of October, Cheyenne leaves behind it’s second hottest September on record tied with September 1873. The capitol city experiencing several days of temperatures in the 90’s and the highest single day temperature in the city’s history contributing to record tying month. 

What really sets us month apart was that extremely hot and dry stretch early in the month of September. In fact, we had five days in a row in Cheyenne of 94 degrees or higher, including 97 degrees on the 7th of September, which was our all time hottest day in September in recorded history in Cheyenne.
